PS Plus Games June 2022

PS Plus Games June 2022-Custom Controllers UK

A new selection of free PS Plus games has now been added, and with the new changes for PS Plus coming into place later this month, a good selection of games has been picked. No doubt to get people hyped up and ready to sign up. So, let’s look at what is available.

God of War (2018)

No doubt the biggest game to make it into the PS Plus Games for June is the 2018 game of the year: God of War. A personal favourite of mine, and I am sure many other players around the world.

The appearance of this game in the line-up may not only be tied to the upcoming PS Plus changes, with Summer Games Fest right around the corner it is entirely possible that we could see another look at the sequel of this highly acclaimed game. That being God of War Ragnarök. With this highly anticipated sequel set to release this year (or possibly next), it is worth giving God of War (2018) a go.

What is God of War about? God of War is a massive action-adventure game that follows Kratos, the God of War, and his son Atreus on a quest to spread the ashes of their wife and mother respectively. On their quest to the highest peak in all the realms, they are hunted by a mysterious stranger whose motives are unclear.

Online, God of War received very positive ratings. Achieving a user score of 9.1 on Metacritic. With a lot of praises for the excellent story that is told, the entertaining and deep combat system and the rich environments that you get to explore and experience. If you love action-adventure games and have a PlayStation or PC, this is 100% worth giving a go.

God of War (2018) is normally worth £16 on the PlayStation store and is available for free until the 4th of July if you have PlayStation Plus.

Naruto to Baruto: Shinobi Striker

Second in the lineup is Naruto to Baruto: Shinobi Striker. A 4v4 online action fighting game that puts you as your favourite characters. If you are a big fan of the show you may want to give it a go.

As mentioned, this is an online multiplayer game that puts you into the universe of Naruto. Where you can play as your favourite characters and face opponents online. Though the PvP mode is the focus, there are a few solo and co-op missions you can take on. But other than that, that’s about it.

Online the game received mixed reviews. With a score of 6.1 on Metacritic, the game received many complaints about the lack of content and mixed views on the tricky controls.

Naruto to Baruto: Shinobi Striker is priced at £49.99 on the PlayStation Store. And will also be available until July 4th.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

The last of the three games for this month is the crossover fighting game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. And just like Naruto to Baruto, this game is one that received very mixed reviews online.

This game puts you into the arena against your favourite Nickelodeon characters. Including popular heroes from shows like SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Invader Zim and more. You pick your character and get right into the fight.

If you can’t tell this is essentially Nickelodeon’s twist on Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo. But a bit worse. Receiving a user score of 5.7 on Metacritic (PS5 version of the game), many initial complaints arose around the lack of voice lines or music (which are now being added) and a mediocre gameplay style.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is normally worth £59.99 on the PS Store, but you can get it for free until the 4th of July if you have PS Plus.

Overall, with this month of PS Plus, you are saving around £126 with this month’s lineup. God of War is certainly the standout, but you may find some entertainment in some of the other entries here.
